• We collaborate with the Rotger Clinic - the only private emergency service on the Balearic Islands open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day staffed by an ophthalmologist.
• We boast the only 100% laser refractive surgery unit for short sight, long sight and astigmatism operations on the Balearic Islands.
• We have the only laser system on the Balearic Islands for cornea transplants and treatments.
• We are the only centre on the Balearic Islands equipped with the VuMax ultrasound bio-microscope system which captures ultrasonic high frequency B-Scan images used in ophthalmology for the front portion of the eye.
• We are the only centre on Mallorca which uses ZEISS intraocular lenses as a general rule.

The Institut Oftàlmic de Mallorca (Mallorca Ophthalmology Institute, IOM) was founded in 1986. From the beginning, it gained fame as an innovative centre with a clear vocation to always remain at the forefront of technology, diagnostic techniques and vision treatments.

Since then, it has grown in personnel and resources, becoming a pioneer on the Balearic Islands in the use of new technologies.

Its headquarters is located in Palma de Mallorca at calle Anselm Turmeda num. 10 and we also have an office in Inca at calle Hostals, num. 37 1r.

Since 1991, we have been incorporating the latest technological innovations and we have rise to the forefront when it comes to applying the most modern techniques. We are staffed by expert ophthalmologists who apply the most modern techniques available throughout Mallorca and the rest of the islands.
