Our aim is to get rid of cataracts safely and efficiently. We’ve been performing this surgery since 1984 improving and using the latest techniques with the most trained surgeons. We base ourselves on thorough screenings and pre operation studies to determine which lens –monofocal or multifocal-, will more suitable in each case.
A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens of the eye some symptoms are a blurry vision, loss of visual acuity, glare, faded appearance of colours, as the lens gets more opaque these symptoms will worsen.
Phacoemulsification surgery is a surgical technique that has evolved in recent decades, and is the most reliable and accurate. At the same time it is minimally invasive, as it does not involve making stitches.
It consists on extracting the lens with phacoemulsification surgery and replacing it for an artificial IOL in addition to correcting vision defects such as myopia o hyperopia.
It is a pain free technique (during and after the procedure) and barely lasts twenty minutes.
After surgery the patient must rest at home for 24 hours. The day after visual improvement is so obvious that the vast majority of patients can resume every day life.
