Emergencies will be attended Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the headquarters of IOM (Ophthalmologic Institute of Majorca). Out of this time, you have at your disposal our 24h ward service, which is located at Clínica Rotger in Palma.
Different curvature of the meridians of the cornea, causing different refractive power which prevents focus on the retina.
Very frequent. Appears in isolation or associated with myopia or hyperopia.
Generally congenital and stable. May be a side-effect of surgery (cornea transplant, cataracts, etc.), traumatism, disease of the cornea (ulcer, keratoconus, etc.)
The main symptoms are blurred vision and headaches.
With spectacles, contact lenses or various types of surgery.
