Symptoms
Progressive loss of vision, dazzling, frequent changes of graduation.
Treatment
May be initially offset with spectacles, but treatment is always surgical. This consists of the extraction of the lens and the implanting of an intraocular monofocal lens (restores clear sight at a distance, for near objects spectacles are needed) or multifocal lens (provides clear sight for near and far objects).
