Hyperopia

What is it?

A refractive error in which light rays focus behind the retina and images lose focus on it.

Symptoms

The main symptom is difficulty seeing nearby objects (reading).

Treatment

With spectacles, contact lenses or various types of surgery

• INTRALASIK (90% of cases in I.O.M.)
• LÁSIK with microkeratome
• PRK
• Implantable collamer lens (ICL)
• Pseudofakia intraocular lens (with or without cataracts).
